Because he impressed Bollettieri he was offered a free scholarship at the Bollettieri Academy in Florida. His tennis improved and in 1996 he became a professional player.

In 1999

In 2004 and 2006 he played quarter-finals at the US Open and in 2007 he lost in the fourth round at Wimbledon. His first title came in 1999 at the Memphis Tournament where beat Jim Courier. Other titles were won at Adelaide, Long Island, Vienna, Stuttgart, Houston, Los Angeles, Delray Beach and Memphis. Until now (2007) he hasn't won any doubles title.

He is talented and many see him as a great champion. He continues to fight and has the dream of becoming one soon. At the Sydney 2000 Olympics he won the silver singles medal. Let's just hope that he won't have injuries and he will have a wonderful career.
